Perseids Meteor shower
-cappadocia, turkey (August 2018)

The Perseid's of 2018 coincides beautifully with the new moon, allowing the peak of the meteor shower to be enjoyed from dusk til dawn.

This week-long workshop will focus on nightscapes in the incredibly surreal landscape of Cappadocia, a geological oddity of honeycombed hills and towering boulders of otherworldly beauty. However it will still allow for general landscape photography. Sunrise skies are scattered with colourful hot air balloons and the landscape is filled with enchanted cave houses.

Alyn is a Turkish speaker and can offer you a fully immersive and local experience to what is an incredibly hospitable and welcoming culture.

More details to follow soon.

Landscape WORKSHOP 1-on-1 or small groups

Come join me out in the field on a course that will be tailored entirely to your aspirations. Are you looking to stop relying on Automatic mode and start taking control of your camera? Maybe you're looking to up your game and refine your style? We can cover a wide range of topics from the basic workings of your camera and using them to your advantage, to more specific subjects such as composition, understanding the weather, planning your shoots and post-processing your images.

Astrophotography 1-on-1 or small groups

Fancy joining me for a night under the stars? We start with a couple of hours in the campervan where I teach you everything you need to know about photographing the night sky as well as introducing you to all the night sky wonders available to photograph. Then we head out to put it all into practice before heading back to the van to take a look at some post-processing techniques specifically for landscape astrophotography. All you need is a camera (DSLR/mirrorless/bridge), a wide angle lens (10-35mm) and a tripod (though I have spares I can provide).

(ADOBE Photoshop and/or Lightroom)

Are you looking to improve your editting workflow? Shooting in RAW produces flat images allowing photographers to apply their personal touch by adding contrast, adjusting colour, and injecting emotion into your captures. Whether you're looking to take your first steps in Adobe Lightroom or want to learn more complex techniques such as lumonisty masking in Photoshop, I can tailor a course entirely to your needs.
