Sony a7SIII | Extreme Low-Light Astronomy Video Review
The Sony a7SII literally changed the course of my life for the past 3 years. It was the camera that enabled me to start my astro vlogs on YouTube where you can see me, in the landscape, under the stars, showing a behind the scenes of how I captured my images. It was through YouTube that I saw an increase in interest in my workshops, allowing me to leave my engineering career behind and go full-time with photography. It’s also where I was found by the BBC and would later to go on to working on numerous documentaries providing night sky footage and timelapses, to eventually co-producing my own documentary, Moonshot. So to say I’m excited about the a7SIII is a bit of an understatement!
The Sony a7S range comes equipped with a 12MP full-frame sensor that has phenomenal low-light videography capabilities (The “S” stands for Sensitivty) to the point where no other prosumer camera even comes close. Now after a couple of months of testing and comparing, I’m finally releasing my review of this night vision monster.
